ABOUT US

Directorate of Health Services Jammu aims to provide preventive, promotive & Curative Services in all the health institutions within the ambit of Jammu division. In Jammu division the health department is headed by the Director Health Services Jammu. The division comprises ten districts. Each district is headed by a Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical officers work under the direct administrative control of Director Health Services Jammu. Each district is further divided into various health blocks headed by the Block Medical officers who work under the immediate administrative control of Chief Medical officers .The Block Medical Officers are the supervising and monitoring heads of their respective Health blocks.     30-05-2020: LSCS operation of a COVID-19 Positive patient referred from Mendhar, performed successfully at Govt. Hospital Gandhinagar.




    DHS Jammu along with team visited Jammu Airport on 25.5.2020. DHS interacted with the Medical officers posted at Jammu airport and the teams deployed for sample collection of passengers for Covid -19.






    On 20-05-2020, DHS Jammu along with team visited Covid Health Centre, Covid Care Centres and Sample collection Booth in district Udhampur

    Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma visited Railway Station Jammu in morning hours on 14.05.2020 and interacted with the teams deployed there for Covid 19 sample collection of passengers coming from outside J&K UT.






    one day Orientation/Training program regarding establishment of Covid Health Centers and Covid Care Centers at District Poonch, Kishtwar, Rajouri, Kathua and Reasi held on 14.05.2020 in the Conference Hall of DHS complex.






    PMSMA Day celebrated on 9th of May 2020,at DH Ramban.






    DHS Jammu visited Radha Swami Ashram, Thandi Khui, Samba on 03.05.2020 to oversee the sample collection for covid-19 started for the people coming from outside J&K UT.






    On 30-04-2020, DHS Jammu visited Hiranagar, Lakhanpur and Nagri Parole to inspect the preparedness for Covid-19.






    A sample collection centre was started on 30.4.2020 at CHC Ramgarh by Worthy DHS Jammu to further boost the containment of Covid-19 in District Samba.






    29-04-2020: Worthy FC H&ME Sh. Atal Dulloo, IAS along with MD JKMSCL and Director Coordination Medical Colleges Dr. Yashpal Sharma and Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma visited the newly created COVID Care Centers at Saraswati Dham with 190 Beds, Vaishnavi Dham with 185 Beds and Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar with 300 Beds which have been designated as Level 3 Isolation centers for COVID patients.






    On 27-04-2020, FC H&ME along with DHS Jammu visited APS Domana which has been converted into COVID Care Center category 2 in collaboration with Army






    One Covid-19 patient from Akhnoor was discharged from Govt.Hospital Gandhi Nagar on 27.4.2020 after treatment and testing negative twice.






    26-04-2020: Mobile Sample Collection Van...(For suspected COVID-19 patients) District Jammu has been started






    On 25-04-2020, DHS Jammu along with team visited APS Domana which has been converted into designated COVID Care Centre






    Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma was honoured by Smt. Priya Sethi Ex Minister BJP and Madam Anju Dogra State Secretary Mahila Morcha BJP in her Office Chamber on 24.4.2020. Madam Sethi appreciated the steps taken by Health Department Jammu for containment of COVID-19 and lauded the work being done by all categories of health officers and officials in containment of the disease. DHS thanked Smt. Priya Sethi for the honour and appreciation.






    DHS Jammu chaired one day Orientation Program on RATI.. Rapid Antibody Testing in India for COVID suspects






    DHS Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma along with senior officers of DHS visited newly Designated Covid Care Centers i.e Yatri Bhawan Bhagwati Nagar and Saraswati Bhawan Rail Head on 20-04-2020 and inspected the preparedness for accommodation of Covid positive patients.






    Sh. Atal Dulloo IAS, Financial Commissioner, H&ME, UT of J&K, visited 200 bedded new Hospital Building at Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar, on 10th April 2020, which has been designated as Covid Hospital.






    On 09-04-2020, DHS Jammu visited SDHJagti and assessed the infrastructure of the hospital for the possible accommodation of COVID positive patients if need arises.






    On 09-04-2020, DHS Jammu visited Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar which is designated as COVID Hospital






    On 7.04.2020 DHS Jammu along with team inspected the preparation being done for accommodating the Covid Positive patients in Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar which has been identified as Level 2 Isolation Facility






    FC H&ME visited Govt. Hospital Gandhi Nagar on 04.04.2020 and took round of the newly designated Covid Isolation Hospital. FC was accompanied by DHS Jammu, Director New Medical Colleges and Nodal Officer for Isolation Hospitals Jammu Division
