ABOUT US

Directorate of Health Services Jammu aims to provide preventive, promotive & Curative Services in all the health institutions within the ambit of Jammu division. In Jammu division the health department is headed by the Director Health Services Jammu. The division comprises ten districts. Each district is headed by a Chief Medical Officer. The Chief Medical officers work under the direct administrative control of Director Health Services Jammu. Each district is further divided into various health blocks headed by the Block Medical officers who work under the immediate administrative control of Chief Medical officers .The Block Medical Officers are the supervising and monitoring heads of their respective Health blocks.     Fourth LSCS performed on 28-06-2020 in Gandhinagar Hospital Jammu on a Covid Positive patient with previous LSCS, referred from DH Udhampur




    Three covid positive patients were discharged on 29-06-2020 from District Hospital Ramban after their two consecutive tests reported negative

    On 14-06-2020, “Sahyog India”, a well known NGO working for the rehabilitation of “Differently Abled” children, presented certificate of appreciation to Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma in honour of the selfless and dedicated services of Health Care Corona Warriors during this pandemic.




    Contact tracing of a Covid-19 positive case at ward-10 Dollian was done by surveillance team of PHC Bari Brahmna, District Samba under the supervision of BMO Purmandal Dr.Shamim.

    13 COVID -19 positive asymptomatic patients were discharged on 12-06-2020 from Covid Care Center Ramban after their repeat samples taken 48 hours apart tested negative for Covid-19.




    One Covid positive patient with history of travel, discharged from Covid Health Center (Trauma Hospital) Ramban on 11-06-2020 after testing negative twice for Covid-19.




    07-06-2020: Covid Care Centre RAMBAN where 140 asymptomatic Covid positive cases were admitted. Dinner was ready to be served.




    Two patients discharged today from AH Gagwal, district Samba after becoming Covid negative.




    06-06-2020: Worthy ADC Udhampur Sh. Naginder Singh Jamwal along with CMO Udhampur, DHO Udhampur and District employment Officer Udhampur Sh. Subash Dogra visited GNM School Bailey, Covid Care Center for inspection.




    Eight Covid-19 patients, including one child and a woman admitted in isolation ward of Covid Health Care Centre, AH Ghagwal were discharged on 04/06/20 after two consecutive negative results.

    DHS Jammu along with team visited Jammu Airport on 25.5.2020. DHS interacted with the Medical officers posted at Jammu airport and the teams deployed for sample collection of passengers for Covid -19.

    DHS Jammu visited Radha Swami Ashram, Thandi Khui, Samba on 03.05.2020 to oversee the sample collection for covid-19 started for the people coming from outside J&K UT.






    On 30-04-2020, DHS Jammu visited Hiranagar, Lakhanpur and Nagri Parole to inspect the preparedness for Covid-19.






    A sample collection centre was started on 30.4.2020 at CHC Ramgarh by Worthy DHS Jammu to further boost the containment of Covid-19 in District Samba.






    29-04-2020: Worthy FC H&ME Sh. Atal Dulloo, IAS along with MD JKMSCL and Director Coordination Medical Colleges Dr. Yashpal Sharma and Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma visited the newly created COVID Care Centers at Saraswati Dham with 190 Beds, Vaishnavi Dham with 185 Beds and Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar with 300 Beds which have been designated as Level 3 Isolation centers for COVID patients.






    On 27-04-2020, FC H&ME along with DHS Jammu visited APS Domana which has been converted into COVID Care Center category 2 in collaboration with Army






    One Covid-19 patient from Akhnoor was discharged from Govt.Hospital Gandhi Nagar on 27.4.2020 after treatment and testing negative twice.






    26-04-2020: Mobile Sample Collection Van...(For suspected COVID-19 patients) District Jammu has been started






    On 25-04-2020, DHS Jammu along with team visited APS Domana which has been converted into designated COVID Care Centre






    Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma was honoured by Smt. Priya Sethi Ex Minister BJP and Madam Anju Dogra State Secretary Mahila Morcha BJP in her Office Chamber on 24.4.2020. Madam Sethi appreciated the steps taken by Health Department Jammu for containment of COVID-19 and lauded the work being done by all categories of health officers and officials in containment of the disease. DHS thanked Smt. Priya Sethi for the honour and appreciation.

    DHS Jammu Dr. Renu Sharma along with senior officers of DHS visited newly Designated Covid Care Centers i.e Yatri Bhawan Bhagwati Nagar and Saraswati Bhawan Rail Head on 20-04-2020 and inspected the preparedness for accommodation of Covid positive patients.
